Limnotek Profile
Limnotek provides consulting and contract research services in the freshwater sciences. The organization was founded in 1984 by Chris Perrin, a Canadian limnologist, who leads 5 employees and other associates providing excellence in project design, field sampling, instrumentation, advanced data analysis, systems modeling, reporting, and decision support associated with water use. Clients include hydro power utilities, water supply districts, wastewater utilities, First Nations, government agencies, port authorities, and industries in mining, smelting, pulp and paper, and forestry. These clients use Limnotek for guidance and support in making science-based water management decisions and to supply data required for regulatory compliance. Our strength is in the design and implementation of experiments and monitoring plans that contribute to models showing how a decision affects water and its use. Outcomes are innovative, compelling, and commonly set standards in water management. Most important, our approach instills confidence through effective building of relationships and excellence in science and communications.
